
Daniel Selsky,
LCSW Performance Specialist
Daniel holds a Master of Social Work with a certificate in Trauma from Simmons University and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker. He also holds a Master's in Sport Management from St. John's University. He currently works as a school counselor at an independent school in Boston.
Before earning his MSW, Daniel worked in high school, college, and professional sports, holding various positions from coaching to administrative roles. Daniel is also a former collegiate student-athlete in track and field/cross country. With his experience as a former collegiate student-athlete and coach, Daniel understands the complexities of balancing athletics with other aspects of life.
Daniel's approach emphasizes meeting the client where they are through a collaborative, client-centered method. He blends Mindfulness with other evidence-based approaches, such as CBT and ACT. Daniel specializes in performance-based anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and athlete-based identity challenges, as well as general school anxiety, depression, and stress management. Daniel works primarily with pre-teen, adolescent, teenage, college-aged, and young adult populations. Whatever the reasons you seek support, Daniel aims to provide a supportive, collaborative environment that will help you better understand yourself and develop coping skills and strategies to thrive in your environments, whether at home, school, work, or in athletics.
