Michelle Smith, Masters Level Therapist

Michelle works with clients of all ages, from all walks of life, and particularly enjoy working with couples and families. She practices with a particular focus on Internal Family Systems, and also draws from many theories to meet her client's needs, including her masters degree in mediation and conflict studies. She tailors her treatment plans to the individual needs of her clients, meeting them where they are, helping them decide where they might want to go, and developing plans to help them get there.

Michelle believes that adverse experiences can be healed at any point in time, and she offers a variety of strategies and tools to help clients process and let go of burdens they are tired of carrying. She often integrates and recommends complementary therapies to bolster and support her client's self care. As a trained meditation teacher, her practice is trauma-informed, non-pathologizing, and validating. Michelle is a culturally competent practitioner, and she enjoys working with diverse clients and populations including adolescents, adults, couples, families, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals.

Michelle receives supervision from Gwen R. Harty.
