Lindsey Abate

Lindsey is a mental health counselor dedicated to supporting individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She believes therapy should be a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered while also being gently challenged to grow. Together, you will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, develop practical coping skills, and build greater self-awareness. The therapeutic process also focuses on fostering self-acceptance and identifying strengths that support meaningful and lasting change.

Lindsey's approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and compassionate. She offers EMDR Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within a person-centered framework, while incorporating mindfulness and psychoeducation as appropriate. She tailors treatment to each individual's unique needs, meeting clients where they are and helping them move toward their goals at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful.

Her goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves, confident in their abilities, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges while creating a life that feels balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with their values.

Lindsey holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Merrimack College and is trained in EMDR Therapy.
